Using Groundwire

Making Video Calls

The device must at least have a front- or rear-facing camera to use video calls. Ensure to allow access to the device camera before placing a call.

Different SIP service providers may have different dialing requirements on the format of the phone number, such as prefixes like +countrycodenumber, 00countrycodenumber, countrycodenumber, or simply the local number. Check with your service provider about the format, then use the Number Rewriting feature to reformat your existing contact lists to match the preferred format. See the Number Rewriting section to use this feature.

  • Groundwire is enabled to make video calls by default. Disable this feature if you do not want this application to make any video calls. Go to the Setting the Video Call Mode section for more information.
  • You can set this application to always make video calls only. To do so, see to the Setting the Automatic Video Call Mode section to learn more about the Start video automatically setting.
