RCS

Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a messaging protocol developed by the GSMA as the successor to SMS and MMS. It enables features like read receipts, typing indicators, high-resolution image and video sharing, group chat, and interactive cards — all natively in the device's messaging app.

RCS Business Messaging (RBM) allows brands to send rich, interactive messages to customers — including carousels, suggested actions, and branded sender IDs. Combined with VoIP services, providers can offer a complete unified communications package.
