HD Voice
Wideband audio technology delivering clearer, more natural-sounding voice calls
What is HD Voice?
HD Voice (also called wideband audio) refers to voice calls that use a wider frequency range (50 Hz – 7 kHz or higher) compared to traditional narrowband telephony (300 Hz – 3.4 kHz). The result is significantly clearer, more natural-sounding speech.
Codecs behind HD Voice
HD Voice is enabled by wideband codecs such as G.722, AMR-WB, and Opus. These codecs capture more of the speaker's voice, reducing listener fatigue and improving comprehension — especially in noisy environments.
