Can I use a third-party softphone with 3CX?

Yes. 3CX is a standards-based SIP PBX and supports third-party SIP clients. Groundwire ($9.99 one-time, iOS and Android) registers against 3CX as a generic SIP extension, alongside desk phones, the 3CX mobile app, or any other SIP device on the same system.

How do I set up Groundwire with RingCentral?

Groundwire cannot register directly with RingCentral. There is no setup procedure to follow: Groundwire (or any third-party SIP client) cannot register against RingCentral's service. RingCentral runs a closed ecosystem and does not publish the SIP server, port, or credential information third-party softphones need.

How do I set up Groundwire with Twilio?

To set up Groundwire with Twilio, create a Twilio Elastic SIP Trunk, then configure Groundwire to register to it. Once it registers, your iPhone or Android phone rings on your Twilio number, with SIP push, encryption, and multiple SIP accounts supported. The cost is a one-time $9.99 app purchase plus Twilio's pay-as-you-go rates, often under $5/month for light personal use.

How do I set up Groundwire with VoIP.ms?

Groundwire ships with a built-in VoIP.ms preconfiguration, so you don't enter SIP server settings manually. Pick VoIP.ms from the provider list, enter your account credentials, and you're done. Many users can be making and receiving calls within minutes. For a plain-English look at the provider itself, including pricing, reliability, and how it pairs with the app, see our VoIP.ms review.

How do I set up Groundwire with Vonage?

Groundwire connects to Vonage Business Communications (VBC) and Vonage SIP Trunking through a SIP endpoint or SIP trunk on the Vonage side, where customers can register a third-party SIP device. Vonage's consumer service (Vonage Home or Vonage Box) does not appear to expose SIP credentials, so this guide covers the two business plans.
