Can I get a landline number that rings on my smartphone?
Yes. Any landline number ported to VoIP, or a new DID (direct inward dialing) number, can ring on your smartphone. You need a VoIP provider that assigns or ports the number and a SIP softphone app to receive calls. Groundwire ($9.99 one-time, iOS and Android) is the app; Acrobits does not provide numbers.
How do I get a local phone number in another country without a SIM card?
